We have explored India from up North to down South. From thrilling bike trips to relaxed vacations, we had great experiences. India has so many magnificent places to offer, and one such colourful and vibrant city is Jaipur. It is the capital city in Rajasthan and also known as Pink city. We explored both touristy and not so touristy places of this majestic city.

I have tried to put down the Jaipur itinerary based on my experiences to help you smoothly plan yours.

How to reach Jaipur and travel around?

Jaipur is well-connected to major cities. One can reach Jaipur via air, rail or road transport. Taxis are available for rent is a viable option to move to and fro with ease within the city.

We started our journey from Ahmedabad via road in the morning and reach around 1:00 PM. Since we had our vehicle, so we didn’t need any transportation. There are many taxi services available for local travel. We check in to our hotel and rested for a while and then decided to stroll the city for some stunning night views.

Our Jaipur itinerary for Day 1

We started our exploration with the most exciting evening spot of Jaipur city, i.e. Jal Mahal. It is a perfect spot to stroll around the Man Sagar Lake. There are lots of street food options, local. vendors etc. We waited there for sunset so that we can witness the night view of Jal Mahal. Soon the lights were lit up in the Jal Mahal, and we were able to get some beautiful reflection views. A perfect start of the evening.

Then we went to Amer Fort to watch the Light and sound show. The show was incredible. We got to understand the historical significance of Amer Fort. It is a 50-minute show, so plan your evening accordingly.

After light and sound show we stayed for 10 minutes in front of Amer fort. Then we started towards Hawa Mahal which took 20 minutes to reach there. The market in front of Hawa Mahal was colourful and vibrant. We roam around for some time for shopping in the Johari Bazaar.

After shopping it was time for another beautiful location Albert Hall Museum which is known for its night lights. We reach there in 10 minutes. The Museum looked amazing with all the lights.

Then we called this a day off after visiting five great places in Jaipur. Now is the time to visit the oldest restaurant and eat some authentic Rajasthani food. We went to Laxmi Misthan Bhandar restaurant and ordered the special Rajasthani Thali. The food was delicious. After eating our food, we came back to the hotel. The whole day went well with no complains just fun and lots of excitement for the next day.
